I Build Intelligent Systems That Sense, Simulate, and Serve
Lead ADAS Engineer @ Lucid | Simulation Specialist | AI & Embedded Explorer | Astrophotographer
From real-time ADAS Car computers to AI-enhanced CFD and gesture-powered dashboards, I design systems that fuse mechanical engineering, embedded AI, and optics to solve real-world problems.
๐๐ฝ About Me
Hi, I'm Vikas Singh โ an engineer, simulation specialist, and builder of intelligent systems.
I currently work at Lucid Motors as a Lead Engineer in the ADAS Hardware Team, where I lead the design and validation of camera and compute hardware that enables Autonomous driving. My work bridges structural, thermal, aero-acoustic, and electromagnetic simulations, including:
- โ Linear & nonlinear structural analysis
- โ Thermal & fatigue simulations of ECUs and camera
- โ Condensation modeling using Euler thin film formulations for the camera and ECU
- โ Multiphase flows (VOF, DPM),
- โ EMI shielding and radar performance simulation
- โ Optical modeling of camera systems using ANSYS SPEOS
Alongside this, I'm actively exploring how to bring AI and ML into simulation and edge systems, with research interests in:
- ๐ฌ Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs)
- ๐ก๏ธ Low-power edge AI for thermal monitoring
- ๐งช Degradation modeling of hydrophobic coatings
- ๐ช๏ธ AI in CFD and CAE for predictive insights
I hold a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, where I focused on computational design and scientific computing, and I'm currently pursuing a second Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering from CU Boulder, specializing in embedded systems, ML, and optics for robotics and humanoids.
In my free time, I'm often found under the stars โ capturing galaxies, nebulae, and solar flares through deep-sky astrophotography using my Esprit telescope, monochrome camera, and solar scope.
I'm passionate about bridging the physical and digital โ designing systems that sense, simulate, and serve.
